Upurifier UH

I bought this a bit blind, as most of the reviews I could find were in other languages, but I was genuinely surprised right from day one. I have allergic rhinitis, which gets much worse in winter, and my bedroom doesn't get a lot of airflow because of where the window sits, which makes things worse thanks to that stuffy, closed-up smell that builds up. On the very first night of using it, I noticed a real difference in how the room smelled, and my flare-ups eased off. I leave it running all night and the noise is very gentle, even on the highest setting it's about as loud as a weak little fan. It's bigger than I expected, and the plug is the American two-pin style, so make sure you've got an adapter ready. When it's running, it genuinely pulls every bit of odour out of the room, I've seen reviews from abroad saying it even gets rid of cigarette smoke, so that tells you how powerful it is. Really good unit, and I'm planning to get another one for a different room in the house.

The only downside was the packaging. It arrived in nothing but the product's own box, unlike other things I've ordered where there's extra protection, dark plastic wrap or an outer box. Anyone could read the box and tell exactly what was inside. Given it came all the way from another country, I was a bit worried about the state it would be in, and sure enough the box had a bit of a dent in it. For the price and the distance it travels, they really ought to think a bit harder about that.

It's small, so don't expect miracles, but if you stick to the manufacturer's guidelines and use it in a room of the right size, it works brilliantly and purifies the air properly. Everything about it feels well made, the plastics, the fittings, the fan motor, all of it. Even the filter feels sturdier and better quality than others in the same price bracket. It's got three speed settings, and only the top one is noisy, though not in an annoying way. The middle speed is barely audible, more like a soft breath of air, and never bothersome even close up. On the lowest speed it's practically silent, which is a huge advantage over other purifiers in the same category. That setting is perfect for overnight use, no humming, no noise at all. I'd guess that's down to the DC motor and fan, as the purifier comes with its own little power adapter in the box. It also comes with three felt pads for diffusing natural essences, which slot into an almost invisible little drawer on the side. All in all, a brilliant purifier that doesn't take up much space, great value for money, and, best of all, very quiet. Well worth buying.

Really pleased with this. I left it running all day in my living room and could genuinely tell the air felt nicer. My nose didn't itch at all and the noise level is very calm. I tried a lemongrass essence and the room ended up with a lovely, subtle scent. I actually bought it for my dad, who has bronchiectasis, but wanted to try it out myself first before he uses it. Essences aren't recommended for him, but it's easy enough, just rinse the little pad the essence sits on under warm running water and you're sorted. The filter itself must NOT be washed, though, just clean it with a soft brush or a hoover. Fully approved from me! Delivery was really quick too, it turned up well ahead of schedule, box intact and nicely packaged.

I needed something for my home office that would stop the air feeling so stuffy. This does the job really well, it's barely audible on the lowest setting. You wouldn't think it could clear dust from the air the way it does, but it really does. I've also used the scent pad, a handy little trick. In summer, it doubles up nicely as a mini fan too, especially at night, since it's so quiet. And the price is fair as well.

Yes, this one's won me over. I use it every day.

I'd been waking up congested for weeks, maybe even months. I reckon living in a polluted city means it's bound to affect you one way or another. I'm no allergist, I'm just speaking from my own experience, but I have noticed the difference: I breathe better, I sleep better, and being able to add a bit of aromatherapy on top, when it's running quietly, is a nice bonus.

It's small, I've been using it in my bedroom and I reckon it's more than enough for the space.

Really good. If you've got allergic rhinitis, like I do, it makes a big difference to how well you sleep. The dimensions in the listing are wrong, though, it's a fair bit bigger, must be around 5 litres in volume. The only downside is the two-pin plug. I had a job finding something to convert it to our three-pin sockets.

I put it in the office and I'm pleased with it. It's discreet, and the low noise level really helps while I'm working. All in all, I'm really pleased with the product.
